Preschool Gardening-Garden creatures

Join Sheryl from Treehaus Qatar as we read ‘The Night Gardener’ and as we discuss creatures that live in the garden, what they do and how they support the ecosystem. Meet the family that resides in the garden and are very sloooooow…. Using images from the book ‘Hidden Beauty’ the children will be painting their own wooden tree toy and get to bring it home as part of pretend play! We will be planting seeds out of a seedpod of a local plant!
This is a parent-child activity.
Please arrive 10 minutes early, to allow your child to settle and enjoy our Community Garden.
Addressed to kids aged between 2-4 years old.
Location: Community Garden of the Education City Micro-Farm.
Please bring some extra clothes, as your kids might be dirty or wet.
All sessions will be led by Sheryl, the designer and wooden toy maker of Treehaus Qatar, who is not only an artist but an early years facilitator that believes in introducing aspects of nature to children and equipping adults with skills in supporting children’s journey in discovery. During the pre-school sessions with Sheryl, discover how literature can be introduced and how children can be supported in play whilst learning about the ecosystem.
